This 17-story hotel/condo overlooks the Gulf of Mexico in Panama City Beach, Florida. At almost 450,000 square feet the building includes 329 suites,
three levels of structured parking for 217 cars, and a pool and amenities deck at Level 4.
The Origin is a concrete-framed structure that includes a post-tensioned beam-girder system for the garage
and a post-tensioned flat slab at the tower. The unique geometry of a u-shape sitting on top of a triangle required that the tower be supported by a transfer slab at Level 4.
Another structural success was the 93'-0" x 10'-0" deep, 3-span transfer girder over the entry drive required to support the pool and amenities deck.
